The Teaching Kitchen® Online

The Teaching Kitchen Online is designed to share our model and best practices with a national audience who cannot easily join us in our New York kitchen. The course is an opportunity for nonprofit institutional food providers to work directly with our Teaching Kitchen Chefs and to join the growing farm-to-institution movement to strengthen the health of your clients of all ages while also supporting your region’s health, economy and sustainability.  

At a time when the inadequacies and inequities of our food systems and the fragility of our health and environment are more apparent than ever, The Teaching Kitchen Online provides an opportunity to both directly improve lives and also create positive systemic change to address these challenges.  We hope you will join us in this important work.  


Eligibility

  • Nonprofit organizations that serve institutional meals

  • Meals must be cooked by the organization and cannot be catered by an outside vendor

  • Access to a computer, tablet, smartphone to complete the course

  • A willingness to join a community of participants working to transform their kitchens to a farm-to-institution model
